| As I was watching this Analyze This Comedy film is the first thing that came to me. Here is mob boss Paul Vitti (Robert DeNiro) who has to see psychiatrist Dr. Sobel (Billy Crystal) to be treated for panic attacks, and then becomes so dependent Sobel still everywhere, even the break (twice) Sobel's marriage to Laura (Lisa Kudrow). So what we have is essentially a "Sopranos" - "What About Bob?" hybrid, with a dose of "The Godfather" thrown in for good measure. (I'm not saying this Analyze This Comedy film dubbed "The Sopranos." I realize that were in production at the same time. So the story is essentially the same.) This is not a bad movie. Deniro and glass are good (although Crystal as Dr. Sobel does not seem a good psychiatrist.) Overall, the movie: Analyze This is less fun and reaches hilarious heights when Sobel is "prepared" to represent a reunion Vitti mafia leaders. In general this is not spectacular, but I would say is above average. 6 / 10 |
| When you see the names De Niro and a glass canopy on the assumption that the glass is to provide laughter, but it is just the opposite of this analysis, a strong and funny comedy that, IMO, the proof of Robert De Niro in addition to being a great actor, is also one of the funniest people on the planet. I do not say a good comedian, I said fun. The man is funny and had me on the floor for most of the Analyze This Comedy as Paul Vitti, head of a mob that has allowed the pressures of his work have a physical and emotional when he begins therapy with Dr. Ben Sobel (Crystal), and then blow himself implants dab in the middle of the life of Dr. Ben, leaving all other patients. Crystal hits the right notes as Dr. Sobel, but De Niro is that makes this DVD film Analyze This so special with his great sendup of several characters he has played in the past. De Niro and Crystal to get help from a strong supporting cast including Lisa Kudrow, Bill Macy, Pat Cooper, and especially the late Joe Vitrelli as Jelly, Vitti's puppet, who steals every scene is in. |
| "Analyze This" is a comedy that has two players who come from different genres to produce a good film. Usually found Robert De Niro in an action DVD film Analyze This as a gangster and Billy Crystal renowned as a comic actor. While De Niro plays a gangster and Billy Crystal has some scenes of comedy, which seems to change in this film. I do not remember ever seeing Robert De Niro comedy side, and before that was pretty good. "Analyze This" is not a typical gangster Shoot 'em and kill' em action movie. De Niro also has the emotional center of the scene as shown beautifully in almost every scene. De Niro plays Paul Viti the head of a crime family that suffers from panic anxiety. Viti after suffering an anxiety attack, goes to the offices of Dr. Ben Sobel played by Crystal. I love the dialogue between De Niro and Crystal, as the exchange with such ease. Lisa Kudrow and Chazz Palmenteri play Macnamara and Laura Primo Sundone respectively, and add that to this already stellar cast. The script for "Analyze This" seemed to surround a plot that was well thought out and even imagined, as well as the original. I am very impressed with the writer's ability to reach a single plot, as presented in "Analyze This." Power is a big star in this film, which became one of my favorites of 1999. The Analyze This film has a very high recommendation for any fan of De Niro and DivX Movie Analyze This lovers alike around the world. |

| Oh dear. DeNiro and Billy Crystal skate around parody and seriousness with little regard to the realism. Not being a great lover of glass, but an ardent fan DeNiro, I mistakenly thought that Robert can act outside of Billy constantly sad, panic characters. But I was wrong, the parts where DeNiro cries are incredibly bad. The rest of the Analyze This Comedy is not much more credible, suspending or inspire disbelief. Unnecessary scenes drawn up over the first two thirds of the Analyze This Comedy movie is then replaced by shortcuts to "wrap things." As a comedy that does not make me laugh, as a serious violent gangster Analyze This film I WinCE with pain, and as a No Analyze This Comedy that kept me glued to my seat. However, it looks like Billy Crystal (one of the producers) is on a slippery slope down permanently associated with terrible movies, and he was not far from the slope in first. Unfortunately, we seem to insist on the adoption of talent with him. Please do not rent this DVD film Analyze This ... only encourages him. |
