| Will (Hugh Grant) is the envy of every man. That does not work, drive a fast car, enjoys casual relationships and at 38 has rid his life of all responsibilities ... until he meets Marcus. A boy of 12 years it becomes your life upside down. As Hugh Grant was expertly cast. It was fun, charming, attractive and ridiculously - perfect:) He played his part without much effort and mood throughout the film, although this was subtly made by the many moving moments candies also contributed. This is probably his best performance. Nicholas Hoult as Marcus, I hate to admit it was very very very good. I saw the TV program in which the stars, 'Skins' and he thought, and the show was terrible. But I must say it was great as Marcus. Rachel Weisz appears only half of the DivX Movie About a Boy and was pretty decent, I do not have much to do (and apparently that is pretty boring anyway). Toni Collette as the mother of Marco was fantastic. I actually thought it was a hippie of issues - it was cast as well! On the whole, a child is an unforgettable and touching Britcom, which does justice to complete the novel. |
| I saw "about a child" as part of a double feature with another movie: About a Boy that I really wanted to see, and I was not thrilled with "About a boy." I can not remember what the other film, but I remember "About a boy." Surprisingly great. It had a very good soundtrack and a good plot. It is quite heavy in the narration, which is usually a bad sign, but has been masterful. The story did an excellent job of supporting the flow of the film, which remains very real, and added much to the humor. A great mix of drama and humor that quickly became one of my favorite movies. "About one child" is a DivX Movie About a Boy I might be surprised. |
| Ok, I can think of zero on the movies that made me laugh so much I cried - 4 words dead duck scene! so funny, omg. so damaged that I saw was a little preview this morning, so I knew what Marcus would say, so I started to laugh (although I'm sure it sounded more like a cackle to the other people in the film) about 3 minutes before he actually said that his line, and then you saw the duck, which makes me laugh just thinking about it! All acted very well, it is not as Hugh Grant, but I began to respect him as a 2 agent Bridget Jones' Diary, I have full respect for him, is a talented actor, even if all the functions of his previous films Bumbling apparently have a Neanderthal? For the first time I had 2 fill in a questionnaire for the DVD movie About a Boy company and public feedback, one question was "Would you recommend this to others?" I checked "Yes, definitely This About a Boy film is well acted, well written, I can not comment on the book to the screen because i HAVENT read the book, but I love this movie: About a Boy and recommend it to all excellent 10/10 |
| John Cusack and cooperation. did a good job of adapting Nick Hornby High Fidelity was going to be a hard act to beat. Combine this with the performance of Hugh Grant in the last year of Bridget Jones Diary and expectations will be quite high. Well, simply because it achieves a very good adaptation and most of all performance grant. The problems (I was) with the book have been removed (the character of Ellie), and replaced with some new problems (again, just my opinion). All performances are first class and the Weitz brothers have done an excellent job (both co-adaptation and direction). It's good to see the establishment of London's book is maintained and also fun to see a football club Arsenal hung on one of the characteristics of the room - Hornby favorite football team that he wrote about with such passion in infectious fever pitch . Minor quibble aside - worth seeing. |
