Director is a true master to gender. If you have not seen this Once Upon a Time in America movie and you're looking for a classic, this is one to watch. Very strong, but still underestimated. | After so many years of Westerns, Sergio Leone made "Once Upon a Time in America", about several friends forced to abandon their loyalty as they age. This is one of those movies that is very difficult to describe, simply, they really have to see it to understand it. And you may be disappointed if you expect something exactly like "The Godfather" are gangsters, but they are Jews, so that changes things a little. If nothing more, that refutes the idea that we have today who are always pieces of historical epics monotony (culpa "Alexander" for that stereotype). "OUATIA" is the kind of Once Upon a Time in America film that people could only stars like Robert DeNiro. Also stars James Woods, Joe Pesci, Elizabeth McGovern, Treat Williams, Jennifer Connelly and (in his debut), and they all do a great job. This Once Upon a Time in America movie is a masterpiece in every way. But do not take my word for it, see for yourself. |
