An excess of combat prejudice and low self-esteem of women and is a better way of life. It could have been your standard ugly duckling story (do-over, flourishing new romance), but avoid the traps with some clever twists. A) She does not have to lose 100 pounds to live happily ever after. B) It was "rescued" by a man and C) It is interesting to establish in the world of the sex industry. A good effort to present a more realistic version of the "reinvent yourself Woman" movie. If you like "Pretty Women", will probably not like this. If you liked "Muriel's Wedding," then gives me a chance. . .. |
I am aware of the need for films which accepts chubbiness and used real bodies, but this is not the breakthrough movie: More to Love of fat! It was terribly outrageous! I compare it to a car wreck ... you do not want to see, but you have to see how that is bad! Awful! The act is horrible, not to mention the issue ... and someone mentioned the great soundtrack? Are you kidding? It was like spending 90 minutes in an elevator! Also, choose an accent, sure you are Canadian, but sometimes she has a thick accent and sometimes (if less dramatic) is completely gone! I would call this as the King of B Movies! However, I have to diet as I have seen the scenes in the Big Girl Club! A bad plot, horrible acting and a soundtrack of washing ... DO NOT SEE THIS FILM! |
A solid and interesting dealing with issues related to weight and body image for women. Well thought out and portrayed with great attention to issues important to women today in connection with self-esteem, the importance of individuality versus social acceptance, and value the support and respect for the physical differences between all peoples. He plays very well the difficulties of integrating women are perceived in society of how they should appear (ie, the ideals of the perfect woman) against the reality of the huge range of women today's world. The main character moves from being insecure and naive, travels a path of self-exploration and amounts to a most noble and resilient in the world. The main roles are played with intelligence and openness of play, leading to a climax credible and positive for this movie. I would like to see more of this team, particularly in the lead actress, which is refreshing and memorable and a good presence on the screen. |
