| When driving at night, David Fox (Luke Wilson) leaves the interstate and takes a shortcut through a lonely road. Is in divorce proceedings with his wife Amy (Kate Beckinsale), who is sleeping in the car after the loss of his son Charlie. To avoid hitting a raccoon, David breaks fan of his car and the couple is stranded on the road. Without any alternative, decided to spend the night in a nasty low-budget motel in the middle of nowhere. While some fans in the bar watching movies VCR, David realizes that they have been shot in his room. Soon discover that they are trapped at the scene and surrounded by sadistic filmmakers of snuff movies. "Vacancy" has a promising start and claustrophobic, with the greatest fear sunk in one place with a strange motel manager a horrible aggressive rhythms and listening at the doors of your room. | I had an amazing time to see vacancies. I really got my adrenaline pumping, and twice that made me jump so much that I was embarrassed. I have never shaken so violently in a crash scare. He was great, the characters are very credible, and the tension was incredible. I love horror movies, but I often disappoint, as trade suspense and tension of real blood. The amount of blood is necessary to invoke the fear of the villains, and I feel like the director vacancy used enough. What is really is an expert in the movement to the arm-rest grip on your anxiety tension. I was still calming down after the Vacancy Horror movie has long ended. If you liked Red Eye or the recent The Hitcher, you definitely like this. If you did not like any of these, try it anyway. I do not think you are disappointed. |
| There are only two positive points that can be rescued from this movie. One of them, the beauty of Kate Beckinsale. Two, the great performance of Frank Whaley. Besides that, everything else in the Vacancy Horror is not worth the time. The story is not so bad, but it could have been different from running for a DVD movie Vacancy that is truly awful ... I guess it's an OK DivX Movie Vacancy for those who like movies or the typical commercial Hollywood Horror, but not for the true aficionado Terror out there. The dialogue between Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson is absurd ... too simple and Wilson's performance is very weak. The killings are simple and leave much to the imagination. The film: Vacancy itself is predictable and the end is the worst it can not be ... I did not like the opening and end credits that had a score something resembling music Psicosis ... as if somehow this was similar to the masterpiece of the late 60s. There will never be another Norman Bates ... Pinewood Motel and never resemble Bates Motel. |
| Too bad the director did not receive its author / s to do another project or two. We needed to have a substantive reason for this young woman who was smarter or more capable than those who perished before them. Were so smooth and generic. Also: Who were the murderers and thugs motivated? How could that have existed murderers operation without suspicion? Why put cassette tapes in the room to see the couple, or, if so, where was the payback? The sheriff had called for backup immediately discovered that something was very wrong. The tunnel mechanics "of the plot could have been better worked - at times seems quite contributed. Etc. Worse mistake - for me - is that the husband was still alive the next morning. Impossible - I just do not believe that the thugs have not finished outside the time they have reached a hold of him. (We stole a wonderful irony - that he died that his marriage had been kept - and have become potentially schlock cinema.) Reduce these errors, as the intensity of our hypnosis, and weakening our emotional experience. I think we started shooting the Vacancy Horror movie too early - they had an excellent premise ( "Psycho" template - "If you are going to rip something off, snatch a winner!") And it seems he had some money, and thus the potential to create a very useful piece of cinema. But I guess that is why the great novel are so few and far between, and why movies like this make us appreciate even more. |
