| Beyond Elmer Fudd vs. Bugs Bunny (I read comments saying "been there, done that")! Not only was a very nice, entertaining film, but what a wonderful message about animals - anti-hunting, with its territory and not try to tame what is not meant to be domesticated, even a plug for sterilization when neutral Mr. Weenie draw is "fixed." The animation was good - apart from a strange creature or two (small range), I thought they were cute. And the scenes campiness added a little something different. All players who did the voices did a wonderful job. I am not a fan of Martin Lawrence, but shook as Boog. And Ashton as Elliot was hysterical. It's no "Finding Nemo" and "Toy Story", but a nice afternoon for a movie, is better than expected. Enjoy! |
| OK ... I am a hunter and usually roll my eyes with their leaders in the fight against the hunting position. The hunters seem to make fools and animals are much smarter and more in tune with nature ... blah, blah, blah! So this Open Season Animation does all that, but I laughed throughout the movie! No one should take so seriously that you can not laugh at what is happening around them! Silly fun, good and entertaining movie: Open Season popcorn to boot! I have to admit, never imagined as a Grizzly Bear Martin Lawrence, Ashton Kucher do not like a deer antler, but someone had the knowledge and imagination! Go and enjoy this silly DVD movie Open Season ... has a pair of bathroom jokes, but what is not these days! |
| I saw an advance screening of "Open Season" beginning tonight (the only advance screening I've been starting at 6pm, must've made so that children could see it and get home still in a decent hours). I laughed out loud and heart during the hour and a half watching this Open Season movie I have in all the comedies I've seen in the past year. The animation is so good is distracted during some of the nearly UPS (see the skin on Boog the bear and star). And all the animals of the forest is fully fleshed character wise and very funny (especially the "take no nonsense" by the skunks). They were beautiful without being pretty. And the script was worthy of Oscar. If you do not like this DivX Movie Open Season a part of you is dead inside. It's just that good. Abstract: There is this bear (Boog) that makes a kind of circus act in a national park ranger who lives with one. After releasing a young deer (Elliot) of the hood of a car hunters (the guy hit him and hit him before tying the bell) who follows him home, tempts him with a chocolate bar, leading to a some b e and a pig in the store where junk food. Through a series of events that both the wind in the forest as well as the hunting season begins. The animal bond, the hunters and hell and all points (especially for one of the skunks). Remember how good you thought was The Incredibles, "This DVD film Open Season makes it seem so ho hum is not even funny. And if you do not like, go out and make your own Open Season movie rather than a tear this apart. |
| I saw this DVD movie Open Season and now I have to disagree with those who compare it with "The Incredibles" and "Cars." Is only slightly above average and not in any way original. There are a couple of laugh-a-loud scenes: When Boog and Elliot are struggling behind the curtains and the stage that the audience can only see their shadows on the curtain, which looks as if Boog and Elliot evisceration splash Blood everywhere (in fact, the "guts" are strings Elliot is tangled, and "blood" is painting), and the scene where Elliot Boog to explain is how to go to the bathroom in the woods, and Suddenly you can only go with a running deer pips (thank God it did not show its fall grizzly feces, though). Silly, harmless fun (except for the rabbit ... so that the abuse?), But again, nothing in a "Cars" or "Amazing" level. |
