Emma Lloyd has made a career out of her sensible, mature and responsible approach to relationships. She has a hit radio talk show, an impending book deal, and a loving relationship with her fiance, Richard, a conventional sort-which is precisely what Emma is drawn to. Then Emma finds out that she is already married to a man she's never met before, a result of a misguided prank that leaves her bewildered and very confused. Worse than that, her plans for the future are now threatened. With her wedding just around the corner, Emma must find the mystery man and obtain an annulment. Emma tracks down her 'accidental husband' - Patrick, a charming and handsome neighborhood fireman, with a big secret...that he was behind the 'accidental' marriage. Unable to fess up, Patrick goes along with the ruse pretending to be just as baffled as Emma. While at first their opposite approaches to life create much tension and chaos, Emma soon starts to admire his carefree passion for life and doubt her own conservative, button-down views on life and love. As Emma's wedding draws near, she is faced with the choice between her safe life with Richard or the chance to live in the passionate and spontaneous world that Patrick inhabits.

I hardly see this movie: Accidental Husband, The because of the negative comments I read here, so I thought of putting things. I do not know if the previous reviewers had seen the same DivX Movie Accidental Husband, The I did as I have enjoyed every moment of it. I see a lot of movies and I'm very fussy about what they see. I do not usually see this kind of Accidental Husband, The Comedy film that I consider to be a little girl in a movie, but I found that this is surprisingly good. The story was very well written with lots of twists and turns and the comic was the right time. Most of the films seem to have a slow section where you want to just get on with it, but this Accidental Husband, The film keeps you interested until the end. If you're a fan of films like Four Weddings and Bridget Jones then I recommend you see this. It has all the ingredients of a classic romantic comedy well written.

The main problem with 'The husband accidental' is that the two main characters are so unlikeable. Instead of falling in love with them, I ended up really disliking them. Patrick's boorishness constant prevarication and Emma really grated on me. When traveling outside Patrick firefighters at the end of the movie, my excitement was overwhelming sympathy for Emma's nice guy boyfriend Richard (Colin Firth) instead of the happiness of Patrick and Emma. The characterization of Richard, the only obstacle in the path of Patrick and Emma meeting is unusual for a rom-com that has no hidden dark side (no 'bit on the side', no secret agenda of his marriage to Emma to discover) is a really decent man, but this means you are not rooting for Emma leave Patrick. After the way it is handled by Richard Patrick and Emma, I left the theater feeling not so much that Patrick and Emma were made for each other, but that really selfish couple deserve each other.
