| This was not a bad movie. It had some good performances and some laughs. Moreover, it is not a great movie, either. Nothing original about it. Each gag in the film, and the story itself is recycled material. Steve Martin was good, but it was a rehash of things he has done before (see, for the "wild and crazy" dance, to 1978 or so). Eugene Levy played mostly Eugene Levy, who is doing good, but again, nothing that we have not seen before. Queen Latifah as Charlene is relatively credible, but his performance is nothing to write home about. She is very good in the robbery of the camera, their facial expressions in this DVD movie Bringing Down the House are exaggerated enough to remind one of a silent movie. A few nice moments and is worth laugh or two. I am not entirely sure that the target audience for this DVD movie Bringing Down the House is, but seems to be doing well at the box office. My favorite thing about it has nothing to do with the race open agenda, which is so blatant that even talking about nudity. Instead, I like the fact that female leadership is not skeletally thin, but still portrayed as attractive (and I think it is drop dead sexy, in fact, but that's just me!) Overall, I give this movie: Bringing Down the House a 5 out of 10, but becomes an additional Queen Latifah delivering the line "Come on, get this." In general, this is a very forgettable Bringing Down the House movie that offers nothing new, but it is an opportunity to take a bit of old-school Steve Martin clown. |
| My Rating: ** 1 / 2 of ****. In a disappointing year for movies, so the House is kind of a breath of fresh air. I say "sort of" because the Bringing Down the House film has identified some weaknesses. Definitely has its moments, but suffers from an uneven script. Desigual scripts are actually quite common in today's comedies. Liar Liar is a comedy that was, but I had a consistent performance hilarious Jim Carrey I could forgive this. Unfortunately, while the performers here good job does not match the performance of Carrey. Bringing the fun of the House of a good script, but the dramatic parts are not as good. They are under-written and you want to be faster. The players seem to be having a good time. Steve Martin shows his comic talent here and he is the most fun a constant in the film. Queen Latifah is good, but it is overshadowed by Martin. Surprisingly, Eugene Levy makes no scene stealing work. He has his moments but nothing really big. Joan Plowright is smug in her role. With what the House is a reasonably entertaing DivX Movie Bringing Down the House and worth seeing. However, its nothing I would wish to see again. Actually, if you remove Steve Martin, will have a ** star in the best of the film. |
| I can not believe some of the negative comments about this movie. Sure you are never going to win any Oscars, but this was real "sit back and laugh" films. Many times I was laughing uncontrollably Both Martin and Latifah were excellent in this film. Is or was my wife in this DVD film Bringing Down the House Steve Matins a honey or whatever. If you like the humor in the tongue and cheek can laugh off the insinuations racist then this Bringing Down the House Comedy film a chance. People who call this DivX Movie Bringing Down the House needs to have more of a comedy of verification. |
| Peter Sanderson (Steve Martin) is a divorce lawyer to work, who spends his time working in a chat room for lawyers on the Internet, where he meets the young lawyer Charlene Morton. | Steve Martin seems to have had a face lift. Something very strange in his face. Normally anything like Steve, but this Bringing Down the House movie comes as Trashy not funny. Charlene did not think it encourages the rough with his wife was a good message to send teens to see this movie. |
