| I have mixed feelings about this film: Bound .... in the first half hour it sets up the cat and mouse game with Tilly, a gangster's moll and secret dam dropped by his ex-neighbor lesbian with Gina Gershon. When her boyfriend (an excellent Joe Pantaliano) steals $ 2137 Mn for the mob, the two ladies who decide to rob him. The cat and mouse games are in it most of the film. I liked the twists and turns in the film. The direction, photography and especially the lighting was excellent. In the cast highlights Joe Pantaliano Gina Gershon, but it's pretty good. This is an excellent debut for the Wachowski brothers who went to make the Matrix trilogy (Part 1 of which is quite good). What I liked was that all the love that seems quite Tilly and Gershon contributed. They have two brief sessions fingering "and are in love! In addition, Tilly may be a good actress but I do not like. None of the characters is sympathetic, but Cesar is so vicious and evil becomes a sort of anti-hero. The Bound movie is quite violent, but there is very little in the way of sex so I am surprised by the characterization of R. |
