| Frank Marshall, "Live" is one of the most beautiful films I've seen, a story of great courage and human ingenuity. Although the story was filmed earlier (and cheaper) Rene Cardona as "Survival", the story is superior in all departments and resonates with me years after I first saw it in the movies. James Newton Howard score is truly beautiful and incredibly powerful for its ability to convey the hopelessness of the situation (trying to survive in the Andes) and the wonder of this amazing wilderness. In fact, the score of the DVD film Alive is very good to very good. The provision of Schubert, the "Ave Maria" during the climax awakening, with its excellent images lensed by Peter Levy, the Alive Drama film is one of the most emotional moments of transport. Impressive! |
| Critics often blame live with small complaints: Gee, the avalanche was not a plot? Why not have the air signal flares? How can the survivors were quite all children? The search would be another film: Alive composed entirely of their own. How to compress almost three months of tedium and terror in less than two hours, while keeping the attention of the audience? It is a daunting task, alive and well managed. With the technical advice provided by crash survivor Nando Parrado, live capture the look and mood of the site of the accident, and sketches in the relationship between the injured passengers of the flight. Leaves many questions hanging strange (Where, in this complete map of the majority of unmarried adults, Nando extends to two small red shoes?) And the more questions are answered by reading the book. And see again alive. Things clearer with multiple viewings. |
