| This DVD film Shelter is inspiring and the performance is excellent. Trevor Wright does an amazing job of making him believe that everything is fighting for his family while dealing with their sexuality. Brad Rowe is also incredible. Trevor it was perfect casting. This is a true partner in this story. Jonah will go far in his career if he continues to make outstanding movies like this! Good job here! Networks for the production quality of such work. I wonder how Jonah had the idea of Housing? As the Shelter Drama was distributed in theaters, I hope that makes GLBT youth programs for young people to see this movie, and be proud of who they are. |
| I'm a preview version to a disk Queer Film Festival Brisbane where screens Housing, on Saturday May 24, 2008. Even at this low resolution screener, Housing shines like a film: Shelter with a huge heart, and one that has the same attention from all the actors and filmmakers. Not at all like the angst-ridden abomination of a gay surf Shelter movie "Tan Lines." Surfing is a fact of life in the "shelter" - is not used or abused as a device. "Housing is a beautifully edited, looking bright and spectacular sound Shelter Drama film is driven by character. Each of the main characters is carefully crafted to decide soon who really care about Zach, his young nephew Zach and Cody's love interest, Shaun. We want things to work for them. We understand that Zach is in a bind - he left the physical and emotional anchor for an increasingly dysfunctional family, but we know you deserve more life options. The writers and director of Housing has done a fantastic job - not a look or word is wasted, and yet the whole pace of the Shelter Drama movie is very relaxed. "Shelter" deserves praise anyone or Festival of care could provide. Directly to the public must find "Shelter" to be as rewarding. The theme of the Shelter Drama movie is, after all, about love, honor and commitment. What could be healthier than that? |
| What an amazing Shelter Drama film about love, family and relationships. It was great to see a Shelter film that uses characters stepped out of the gay stereotypes seen in most movies. It's even better to see a Shelter Drama film that focused on love (and sex) between two characters. Although there are some scenes that scream "low-budget," the final product as a whole has been very rewarding. Acting, writing and directing all solid. After so many disappointing movies gay, I am delighted to have a Shelter Drama like this come along. If this is a sign of things to come in the gay film, I am excited about the future films. If you have not seen "House", however, watch him go. He was glad he did. Enjoy. |
| It is not really about the rich and the poor, is honesty and honor, and the lack of it. The stand-up man (Trevor Wright) reminds us that are not really * good, unselfish people in the world. Zach has to deal with a teacher and the unjust world, and part of iniquity that is himself, because he is gay. Outside of problems, problems inside. This is a very, beautifully acted film. Congratulations to all participants. It is curious that we need players directly to convince us that gay people are really human, but these kids do so without apology. We should all be so kind. |
