| I saw this Bee Season film last night at the Toronto Film Festival. I'm a fan of the book, and wondered how history could be successfully adapted as a film. I am concerned that the ideas were too complicated, the characters too subtle to make the transition. When I heard that Richard Gere will play the role of the father, who had serious doubts. (Richard Gere plays a Jew? Almost as ridiculous as Melanie Griffith), but will not have worried. The Bee Season Drama film is almost a masterpiece. A subtle, fascinating journey through a world of spelling bees, Hare Krishna, Kaballah, Kleptomania, beautifully rendered and the interior spaces of the imagination. Beautiful and original special effects, charming characters, great acting. The girl who plays the daughter is excellent, as are the other actors. Juliette Binoche is heartbreaking and mysterious, Richard Gere is perfectly cast as the self-absorbed (Jewish) father and the son of Anthony Minghella is also in the movie, believe it or not, and he is very good. There are changes in the book. However, the general feeling is very similar. The Bee Season Drama is neither as funny or as dark as the novel by Myla Goldberg. But the end could be more emotionally satisfying. Check it out! You will not be disappointed if you approach with an open mind. Not for the cynical, or the action DVD film Bee Season junkie, but I found this a delicious, rich and exciting journey. Definitely a 10! Put it to see the Oscar. |
| N one of the characters takes on the lowest level of credibility in this failed attempt to produce a film: Bee Season with a hint of transcendence. The first philosophical comments Richard Gere promise, at least for the connoisseur, a look at the deepest part of human life which, unfortunately, never implemented in this insipid film. The presence of Juliette Binoche, French actress, is a charming enough to get the Bee Season Drama movie out of the hole of incoherence and absurdity. Nothing seems real, the characters are completely underdeveloped. The public is misled into believing that this movie: Bee Season is going to say something insightful about the search inside the search and mystical emotional alienation in close relationships. The Bee Season Drama movie seems a failed attempt to mix the look of America with the European touch in the DVD movie Bee Season making.The author, director of the crew of ads, you should keep looking for something meaningful for the production of the species. Richard Gere (as has happened with Kevin Costner) has to find a way out of this terrible path of late. His admirers, and I am one of them is the threshold wait! |
