| SPOILER WARNING ********** ************ I had the pleasure of seeing this movie: National Treasure twice in the theater. The only show I've seen the audience were in a National Treasure Adventure movie Spider-man 1 and 2, X-MEN 2, and Rocky. The DVD movie National Treasure is interesting from beginning to end. While all the actors (and actress) do a good job, Sean Bean steals the show. Often the villain can make or break the movie. Sean Bean was the absolute best choice for the villain. The characters arrogance, intelligence, and implacable resolve to shine through. I think the main drawback of the National Treasure film was its PG rating. It would have been better as a PG-13. Some apparent easing of the violence. Even people who never used foul language, which have diminished the "F" bomb here and there. But as with its PG rating, everyone can enjoy. |
| In the summer of 2003, Walt Disney launched last Turd. It's called Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the BLACK PEARL. One of the men responsible for Turd was prolific producer Jerry Bruckheimer (the man who is also responsible for producing such dreck as Coyote Ugly and Bad Boys II, and because for some unknown reason "Pirates" was a great success (only God knows why), Disney released Bruckheimer stop another disaster DivX Movie National Treasure in the movie-going public. This is called a disaster DVD movie National Treasure National Treasure. Like gone in sixty seconds, Nicolas Cage's previous collaboration with Jerry Bruckheimer, the premise for the national treasury is 100% absurd. Unlike with adventure movies such as SAHARA, the absurdity of the premise here is not even funny, just stupid .... even by the standards of Bruckheimer. Obviously the filmmakers were not going to believablity this, but even so, the concept of national treasure is beyond ridiculous. Moreover, nobody sees a Bruckheimer National Treasure film plot. To go and see things and seeks to exploit. In both NATIONAL TREASURE delivery. Problem is that there is nothing else. |
| This is a great adventure and entertaining film, despite the criticism of the NY Times and others. I think the critics write for fun, not a criticism of the National Treasure movie on its primary importance "entertainment." This National Treasure film has been called absurd and unlikely. Hmmm? I guess not the critics like "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "The Bourne Identity" and "Independence Day" or "the sum of all fears," or indeed "Titanic"! This story treasure hunter, supported by reference to national history is fun to watch and to think of the fun. The act is just enough to edge out and the dialog box and the commentary is only right that appeals to adults and children. Disney got right again. Go to see you! For rent or buy the DVD, is a keeper when you can not find something worth seeing. Put him next to "Pirates of the Caribbean "........ absurd, but also very fun!
