Another unnecessary remake of a movie: Flight of the Phoenix OK in the 60s starring Jimmy Stewart. When you stop remaking Hollywood films marginal? Just because they have property rights to an individual, not a green light to go ahead and try to redo it. Unfortunately it is not Denny Quaid as Jimmy and the Flight of the Phoenix Adventure film focuses on his character there is very little movement or momentum. They crash! and Giovanni Ribisi is an engineer with the idea of building back the plane and fly out after hanging in the shadows for much of the film. There is a woman in the cast this time is totally unnecessary to the plot was very original male cast. No sand, much of it, and a bunch of desert dwellers who seem to threaten the crew. In the original Flight of the Phoenix film with Jimmy Stewart Hardy Kruger said something to the effect that "the only thing awaiting you is your stupidity." Curiously in the remake, stupidity seems to be the only thing the "outstanding". I have been on the outside of oil-drilling work and can guarantee that you would never see a woman anywhere near a rig. As a matter of fact, the same applies in the U.S.. Women simply do not work as Roughnecks. To show that engineers and professional women, but not as employees. The remake is just lame and an excellent example of the creativity just trying to milk a good story once again.
