| I can not believe more people have not seen this movie. I downloaded this One Point O movie by chance on the Internet last year before he left (to be called "One Point O" then) and I told many of my friends who made the trek to the Montreal Film Festival to view. I also expected to appear at the Toronto Film Festival (where I live), but unfortunately it did not. The cast is brilliant. Udo Kier as a creepy neighbor. Lance Henrickson (something watchable for a change), as a vague basement dwelling, the deliciously sexy Deborah Kara Unger play the main character of Jeremy Sisto (Six Feet Under, wrong turn) love interest. This DVD film One Point O really me guessing until the end. It is well paced, originally written and beautifully shot. It is exactly the style of science fiction that I like. I just pick up the DVD, now called "Paranoia: 1.0" (I prefer the original title). It is a must for any fan of science fiction. |
| This is an absolutely fantastic One Point O Sci-Fi film - I had to see it more than once to read the newspaper articles are shown in the first part of the DivX Movie One Point O - the title character, a computer programmer, I can not finish a program code that is supposed to write because it seems to be slowly losing his mind - which is pressed to understand why this happens (ie, "paranoia") - this One Point O Sci-Fi film is not only entertaining and suspenseful - but also represents an asset of great fear of biotechnology (and other) energy companies and the desire to control the minds of consumers, only to sell their products - this is quite impressive - I am waiting for sequels and copy cats to show up soon - the question is at the point with today's market - economy - I noticed that there seems to be an effort by the producer / director to block any mention or suggestion of the popular brands of consumer products of any kind, such as Intel / windows computers, etc. - is difficult if not impossible to decide when the story took place, for example, today, about today, or far into the future - no doubt this One Point O Sci-Fi deserves more discussion |
| Have you ever left the theater with more questions than when you entered? Check this one. Or a point is a refreshing alternative to Hollywood formula ..... Nicely shot and well directed, with a cast and dialogue that is right. The plot does not allow above. The One Point O Sci-Fi movie was the subject of numerous interpretations and discussions long after leaving the theater. Point O is a very near future become a realistic image of the isolated and paranoid - eventually affected by the latest ploy of corporate marketing. This is truly a unique script! This was my favorite at Sundance this year. |
| Well it has finally seen in the UK! Other reviewers have gone into great detail so I will leave, but stay away from the matrix in terms of comparisons of the total amount of the One Point O film feels. Yes there is a computer program that affect the lives of the people, or so it thinks the main character, but is more harsh and brain. Think 1984 meets on the dark city budget Pi! (Well a little more cash than that, but not much!) I loved Udo Kier and Lance Henrikson in cameo roles, which introduces some lighter moments in the DVD film One Point O and make it successful. In general it is not one of the masses, but of science fiction and genre fans will appreciate. In general, I liked it and it's worth compared to bank holiday crowds in central London. Finally observations with regard to Frederik Pohl mentioned in the review are right on the money |
| In the near future, a young software engineer is the victim of the scheme from his mind. Paranoia and fear to take on the quest for survival. The horrible end seems inevitable. For it will become less able to differentiate between real and unreal, who to trust and who not. The viewer is in the same position here, so we also need to make a decision and try to figure out what is happening here. The clock is ticking. Nice dark characters and trusted by the majority of them. Although the talks could have been a little sharper. If you like films that leave to seek answers and will not all of them, go see this.
