| OK, so I will admit that one thing I did with this DivX Movie Suburban Girl that I absolutely hate to do ... I was half. Definitely, the story seemed attractive, especially for me as a woman who has seen a lot of films about older women with younger men, but ultimately it was a Suburban Girl movie opposite was true. But the biggest problem with the Suburban Girl Drama movie was the lack of chemistry between the two main characters. When acting as if they were together was not credible, particularly apparent Baldwin the most uncomfortable of the two. Another thing that has confused me about the Suburban Girl Drama film was ... well to be blunt .. it was confusing! One minute I was angry with him, one out of pure anger that any member of the female audience in singing a form of support. But then suddenly ... the anger was gone and "Archie" was able to do the same (a bit paternalistic, I think) so that before. Okay, last thought on this Suburban Girl Drama is really as if the actors and a script to go, certainly as this commentary is based on only half of the film. For me personally, it lacks the possibility that the story they have, and I hope that someone else has a shot at the reunion. |
| Although most of the comments made me enjoy this movie. Sarah did an amazing job ... And I thought his portrait of a young woman in love and security. It was really refreshing to see Sarah in a role completely different from any previously represented by it. However ... Is not there always a however! It would have been nice to have George Clooney or someone who does not differ in the trouser role of ... Alec Baldwin? Not my cup of tea, I have to say. Still, I did find their relationship believable. Nevertheless, a clear 8 / 10. And a great soundtrack! Sarah, she got a 10/10. Once again, they should do something incredibly bad to not win my devotion. :-) |
| It was a very good movie. Before I saw, I thought it was a romantic comedy, but actually is not. There is not much humor, not trying to be funny. It is entertaining, though. It basically revolves around Bret (SMG's character) and his burgeoning relationship with Archie (Alec Baldwin), his relationship with his family (especially his father) and his aspiration to be an editor. During the movie, you can see a little SMG turn a self-conscious to a girl said to the woman free. In any case, I thought it was a good movie. Its target audience is probably women in their early twenties (I), as they have someone to relate to the Bret. The dialogue can be very pretentious, and although probably not get many of the jokes, if not well read. The scenes with Alec Baldwin and MGA were not so awkward or uncomfortable as I thought. I thought that their relationship was realistic enough and was well portrayed. Have enough chemistry together. Besides, I thought SMG did a great job acting in this film. She breathed life into the character and I do not think Buffy once while watching it. Someone mentioned on the board that she was too old to play 24 years old (she is 30), but I disagree. I thought it was entirely credible as one of 24 years and that shows the insecurity that comes with very well. Besides, I love all the clothes she wore in the film. In general I would recommend this movie. It's nothing mind blowing but it's a nice movie. I give it a 7.5/10 (which incidentally is what the rating is currently IMDb). |
| I love Melissa Bank's sophisticated, complex, moving drama and I was very curious when I heard that some of the stories of her first novel / collection of short stories is being made into a movie. What a disappointment! I can hardly imagine how MB was to discover that Sarah Michelle Gellar was to play the Jewish intellectual associate editor. It is ridiculous on paper, and the idea of publishing his novel was a stretch of imagination that no act can be done remotely plausible - the only thing I could imagine his control over his Blackberry when the high school next to the pool party cute guy was doing. The idea that the character Alec Baldwin would be interested in someone who flat, stupid and Teeny-bopperish was beyond dumb. Since we could try, SMG, which is talented and can be fun at the movies, could not pull this off. Good lines of the MB, which were added by the director made me WinCE - each topic can get a grab bag of Hollywood. A depressing and shameful example of how to ruin a great book. I hope MB has better luck with the wonderful Wonder Spot. But if Clare Danes were brilliant cast, this Suburban Girl Drama will remain poor, but not as Unwatch. |
| The strange name Suburban Girl movie about a book editor is richly portrayed in this film: Suburban Girl with brilliant splashes of color photography that has dazzling variety of hues and shades that make many scenes picture-book snapshots. In general, this romantic drama is a coming of age Suburban Girl Drama about a young woman who falls in love with older men. Along the path of Sarah Michelle character must face his own family, and the complications of labor relations as a political office. This is a sort of Devil Wears Prada (2006) junior version of the book world. Predictable, but entertaining film, nice to look at, with some improvements on the older stuff. Seven out of ten stars. |
