A filmmaker with sixtysomething style impertinente a newcomer. A masterpiece. Fascinating, funny, smart, wicked. The reunion between the stunning Scarlett Johanssen and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers impressive in table tennis is right to "a place in the sun" - Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift in the pool table - is the sense of James and Patricia Cain Highsmith, but the result is unique, bold, exciting. | Rhys-Meyers is talentless. I have never seen a performance of wood in my life. It is not often that Allen makes such a disastrous error. Hopefully we will not have to endure this new actor. Even the usually captivating Johansson was left adrift in this Match Point Thriller film as she tries to act against a plank of wood. The story is passable, and the DivX film Match Point is somewhat redeemed by the turn and becomes the final and great performances from Ewan Bremner and James Nesbitt in the last 10 minutes of the film. But the other thing is under strong British cast inexplicably used. Great character actors like John Fortune, Rupert Penry Jones and Penelope Wilton are reduced to bit parts without dialogue redemptive. I am disappointed to say this about a DVD movie Match Point by the master, but my sincere advice would be to avoid this DivX film Match Point at all costs. 1 / 5 |

This DVD movie Match Point does not deserve even one in ten. The only thing that got me through it was 1 / 2 bottle of wine. It is perhaps not a very original, but it seems tragic to throw a bunch of talented, attractive actors, amazing places and no doubt many members of a wonderful Match Point Thriller movie crew in the abysmal script. This is the second worst Match Point Thriller film I've seen in my life. I refuse to waste any more of my life, even in consideration of the damn thing. Oh, and if you want a taste of the English upper class life - and the experience of leaving himself. Woody has less of a track. |
