| I can not help thinking that people rated this DVD film Goodbye Bafana just because the characteristics of "The Saint" Nelson Mandela. Saturday just over 2 hours of this DivX Movie Goodbye Bafana waiting to feel emotional, but not just happen. In South Africa, the accents are not so bad - much better than Lethal Weapon 2 anyway! Most people know about apartheid and the liberation of Nelson Mandela. I was hoping you really feel the characters in this film, but for some reason, seems to lack a real thrill. I do not think there is much point to this film. If you are interested in the history of what happened then there are much better sources of information that watching this movie. I am also concerned about the media image of South Africa. I am British, but I spent some time in South Africa. I would love to see a DivX Movie Goodbye Bafana about the real situation in South Africa now. Movies like this make it seem that everything is perfect in the new South Africa. It is not. It is a very complicated situation, which will take long time to settle. I know that this Goodbye Bafana Drama is based on the past, during the apartheid era, but I can not help feeling that only adds to the current perception of the world South Africa is a country of evil against innocent blacks poor whites. It is much more complicated than that. Please someone make a DVD movie Goodbye Bafana about the reality of South Africa today. Maybe you should see Tsotsi - that perhaps gives a better impression of today's South Africa. |
