| Seriously this is the funniest Hot Rod movie I've seen "Wedding Crashers." The trailers do not do this film, in fact, justice ..., although I am a big fan Andy Samberg, did not want to see this DVD movie Hot Rod because the trailers looked absolutely ridiculous. But I was wrong. This DivX Movie Hot Rod is very random, just an all around witty and entertaining film. If you're a fan of the website Samberg SNL writers, Jorma and Akiva you fully appreciate the crazy humor. Has great memorable lines I'm sure the people quoted in the next few years and laugh without stopping. This is a DVD movie Hot Rod for people with a sense of humor out of date. Many people in the theater where I saw the advanced screening often "This is too weird!" Comments ... yes, the film: Hot Rod is weird. I'd compare to "Arrested Development" or even "Happy Gilmore" to the extreme. I would say that many people are not the random humor. But if you like it strange, then you'll love this DVD movie Hot Rod for sure! |
| Andy Samberg is the hero of the Internet age. Digital videos through SNL, including Lazy Sunday and Dick in a box, which has a fanbase of coral, a score Emmy nod and land their own role in a movie. Be that clever, witty and subtle comedy is taking over the box office (40 years The Virgin, Knocked Up, etc) is safe to say that plain old silly farce is having difficulty reaching the same audience. Steve Martin The Jerk was a success, with his genius of creating a character who was so naive and stupid and easy to relate to. Samberg is trying to recreate the same type of character, but it seems as if the public is not taking it. Either way, it does so successfully and with a charming awkwardness that could put Martin to shame (no offense Steve). Hot Rod starts a little slow but with the feeling that watching it can not get out of his depression, which is moving in a laugh out loud comedy that will literally howls. For example, in one scene, Samberg carried out their frustrations, as he says, "punch dancing" in the woods. This is followed by one of the longest and funniest DivX Movie Hot Rod enters the story. Probably most of the critics feel that the film: Hot Rod is only youtube videos sown together, yet is taken for what it is: a shameless farce in under 80 years of stories of dogs. There was a moment in this DivX film Hot Rod seriously. And that's a good thing. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to laugh their assess off. |
| Our family consists of a fiftyish dad, a mom and two teenage daughters fortyish. We all saw the DivX film Hot Rod at a preview before its opening, and I (mother) laughed so hard that they barely breathe at times. I had to stop laughing so I could hear what I was missing. One of my daughters said it was a cross between Napoleon Dynamite and Talladega Nights ... perhaps. Was completely improbable, I mean, you will be doing stunts on a moped? But it was so sweet. The characters never reached more than who they were or tried too hard. Never felt compelled, like many films like this do. The best part was when Rod was his "quiet." I saw a summary that said it would have been better with Will Ferrell ... I enjoyed everything Will Ferrell has done lately, but Andy Samberg was perfect for this movie. The end is quite predictable, but it's like taking a trip ... you knew that you end up, but it's so much fun along the way. Absolutely loved this film: Hot Rod and recommend to all our friends (and you!) |
| ... And you are not sure if everyone else is him. " This Hot Rod film likes to party. "Hot Rod" has a real silly sense of humor and avoid more artificial hanging plot advancers by another Hot Rod film based on SNL comedies. Much of the humor is juvenile and stupid, but much of it was fun enough to keep me in the seat. I think whoever you like "Hot Rod" or you hate. I do not think it will "Napoleon Dynamite" type following, but have the feeling that this was the intention. Lots of skits and pranks 80 was lost in much of today's youth who were weaned on Jack-Ass, Jim Carrey, Captain Planet and cell phones. |
