This movie: It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is probably the biggest experiment produced comedy. The director, Stanley Kramer, is linked as a serious director. Therefore, I wanted to prove he could do a comedy. No experience in comedy, Kramer somehow managed to attract almost all the famous comedian in Hollywood. This film, then, is basically an opportunity to see all the great talents of the early'60s in a movie! That is what makes this film: It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World so charming. There are more comic genius passes then any DivX film It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World I've ever seen. What also made this It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World Action work so beautifully was the combination of a good story, great filming, and incredible acrobatics. The story begins with an old man (Jimmy Durante) who crashes his car in the desert after having been changed by the Police of Santa Rosita. Several witnesses were said to have buried $ 350,000 in a state park under the letter "W". What makes this fun is the greed and calculation to be unleashed. The cast of characters - ranging from Caesar to Rooney - the most fun things to do in a duel to get the money first. The other thing that makes it fun is Spencer Tracy. He is the straight laced, family man, police chief, who just wants to afford to retire from the Police Department of Santa Rosita. He is part of the madness that unleashes greed, because he wants money, too. Finally, there was no other DVD film It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World of its kind in the early'60s. We really have an idea of what life was like then.
At the risk of being called corny, I must say I love this crazy movie. As a writer and teacher, I think it is a rare It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World film (or any work), which may contain the same impact and resonance to see after viewing. By this I mean that I find myself immediately in tears of laughter with each repetition - that makes me to be someone who has just gained the pleasure of seeing bright objects for hours on end, but that's not the case, at least not most of the time. I believe that today "comedies" have become a meaner spirit. Although like antics is like saying you can get into the genre of comedy - I mean that this style of comedy seems to kindergarten in a strange sort of way. I do not hate and pity those poor souls who have given their Baser and are completely overwhelmed by greed. And I do not take any joy in their suffering through what may be considered some of the biggest pratfalls never filmed. I am enthusiastic about the idea that any of us could succumb to the madness, if the right price. Maybe not to the level of the film, but just this side of healthy. So the comedy is so strong and full of wit and relevant today as it was in 1963 - adjusted for inflation, of course.
Reading through the comments, 'winner55' very stuck with "greed and depravity" check anyway, you probably first saw this It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World film as a child in the late 60's or early 70. It seems incredible at the time of day, although it was probably less than 10 years of age. I love classic moves from the 1960s, in particular, but this tired, lame It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World film looked like a parade of clichés (like "kick the bucket" HAW HAW HAW), comic stereotypes, like the characters, which are degrading depictions of people in general and have no sympathy or any redeeming qualities. Each of the actors best known, as it seems they are more tired of trotting performance retreaders schtick a little exhausted watch the DivX Movie It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and get paid. Many of these players had great moments in other films - but not here, this It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World Action film is only "phone." If you hate comedies are not funny, you hate this movie.
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is one of those movies that as a child I went to the movies to see and then proceeded to talk about it with enthusiasm in the yard for weeks afterwards. So here I am in my middle age with mixed feelings after reviewing this extravaganza for the first time in many years. It is very much a movie: It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World of three parts to me, and each party entertainment on the impact of different scale, the first part of this piece is cast as many as mirthful as MADCAP can honestly want to see, but unfortunately the bad prepares you for a half outstays its welcome to the point that you can not believe that extends to an original cut of 3 hours. The last third of the DivX Movie It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World keeps excess disbelief because until now you have invested so much time in the film, thanks to the gods of any kind of frivolity, and thankfully the It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World movie does not lift back up to the happy place that you visited an hour before. The cast is very good, some brilliant shows are mixed with only the acceptable, and I would not be so churlish to dissect each of the actors performance, but as a fan Phil Silvers am rewarded enough, and Spencer Tracy as acolyte I new burning candles in his honor, but Ethel Merman as Mrs. Marcus who lives long and glorious in the memory, and honestly I think the film: It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is worth a watch just for her. The set pieces are very good, and the stunts are really a feast for the eyes, but ultimately I think the DVD movie It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World a masterpiece instead of the long experience that it is overkill and a bad 6.5/10 from me.
If ever a movie: It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (and, in particular, a comedy) deserves a 10-star, that's all. From first to last, this It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World Action movie is great. I have seen many times (and so has my family) that we have dozens of jokes-standing joke in our collective repertoire derived from it. Two things make big: (1) script, which is only cracks fabulously hilarious lines for all the actors, and (2) the cast is undoubtedly the greatest comedy cast ever in the history of the civilized world. It is very difficult to say when the proceedings were all very well, but ... - Spencer Tracy: his portrayal of the henpecked, tired, ready to retire staff is phenomenal realist. - Ethel Merman: you can even begin to imagine anyone else in that role? - Jonathan Winters: large sweet type can help, but not as. This DivX Movie It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is the gold standard by which each is judged comedy, very few even come close, and no one has been exceeded. Nor is there likely to be once given the comic in general, creativity is the skates.
Forty-five years since its release and my first view, have been at least 60-75 times - and still is fun !!!!!! One of the best writers and directors, plus a combined never cast before or after (and never will be the salaries of today). Basically, if you were to remove the stars of this classic history of the show, which never have had the same impact it did. No Sid Caesar, Phil Silvers and Uncle Milt (Berle) on television. What about stand-up comedy, not Dick Shawn, Johnny Winters, Buddy Hackett and Jack Benny. Not Spencer Tracy and Mickey Rooney, no doubt, have changed the history of cinema altogether. And the music of Broadway and Ethel Merman. They have not even touched the "small" as characters, Jerry Lewis, Three Stooges, Don Knotts, Terry Thomas, Eddie Rochester Anderson, Peter Falk, Carl Reiner, Ben Blue, Buster Keaton, Paul Ford, and that only about half of cast !!!!!!!! One thing I recommend if you do not find this It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World film absolutely hysterical do yourself (and the rest of us a favor) and immediately analyzed to you! Enjoy.
Today nobody knows how to do a comic DivX film It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World that is funny. This should be the yardstick by which all comic book movies are made, no sex, foul language or boring sections of the propaganda. Instead it gets right to Jimmy Durante for the period of the police, road accidents on the right to the end in the hospital where Spencer Tracey reflects on what has been lost because of their greed. Its a hilarious moment after another of Ethel Merman yakety yak's voice to drop to spill the whole bag of money. If you ever made a remake is not funny. The emergence of a taxi driver near the end was an actor who graduated to become Colombo. The only problem with this video release was the Intermission, which was about 6 minutes of silence!
Is there anyone out there old enough to remember the original three and half hours Cinerama roadshow presentation of Mad World, before it was in February 1964 Recut from 192 to 162 minutes? Nobody remembers a radio news bulletin intermediate Buster Keaton or a second telephone conversation with Spencer Tracy? I have only vague memories of the age of 13 years. I believe it is still something that is actually in the original filing in December 1963 - the radio news bulletins intermediate Sylvester stolen car in Culpeper phone with his wife and daughter, the introduction of the police reporter See you in a scene, getting a shower in Tyler Fitzgerald North Valley, Sid and Edie get into a taxi in the blue lake to leave the city, Don Knotts trying to call the CIA from a pharmacy in the phone? I am grateful for all the reminders of a time-favorite DivX film It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World of the over-50 crowd here. Thank you.
