Since a road accident left him with serious facial and bodily scarring, a former 'TV scientist' has become obsessed by the marriage of motor car technology with what he sees as the 'raw sexuality' of car-crash victims. The scientist, along with a crash victim he has recently befriended, sets about performing a series of sexual acts in a variety of motor vehicles, either with other crash victims or with prostitutes who they contort into the shape of trapped-corpses. Ultimately, the scientist craves a suicidal union of blood, semen and engine coolant, a union with which he becomes dangerously obsessed.

This DivX Movie Crash is an attempt to examine the issue of racism. However I felt it was about the same depth with which it treats racism as "100 Girls" which deal with sexism. Unrealistic characters are placed in situations incredible and the film: Crash requires a significant number of coincidences that occur in order to chain together. The choice of telling the story through several characters in an episodic short form was a bad choice, since it makes even less than it could have been otherwise. Some great performances from the actors to lift this DVD film Crash above a painfully low quality. I recommend seeing any Crash Drama film that is available instead of seeing this movie. It's certainly not another "Power of One," as many people think that would be. While it seems to have received popular acclaim, I do not think you deserve this reaction.

If I could score this Crash film a negative once, I would. Look, I understand, racism is bad. We all do it. Most people are not really racist. It's true! Racism still exists, but guess what, nobody has forgotten. This film: Crash is nothing more than a series of vignettes with no central story. There is one issue, of course, and that the issue is racism. But there is no story. In just one hour and forty five minutes of being beaten to death by the unsubtle acting written characters in a moral dimension in a game that makes "Reefer Madness" seems balanced. What the writer and director (and apparently many of the IMDb reviewers) do not understand is there is a rather big difference between "in your face" and "being hit in the face with a frying pan." Not seeing this movie. Do not buy into the hype. Do not waste your money. Simply turn on the TV in any "very special" episode of Blossom or nothing in the life of the canal, and you've already seen this movie.
