| I find it amazing that this film: Divorce, Le was directed by a French director - who has a certain style that is felt throughout the French cinema, but not French managers rarely capture. I found the illustrations of the subtle differences between French and American perspectives that are handled very well. For anyone who has lived outside their own country and have been thrown into another culture, a large number of observations and small "inside" jokes shine through. Clearly the juxtaposition of the two families (a very "typical" American, the other more "old money" French) with the people in the middle (Naomi Watts and Glenn Close characters, which are of a "face", but live among others), which is managed refreshing. Some critics point to this lack of action, but this Divorce, Le Drama is a lot to do with the style and impressions and less about movement of the plot. The only character that I felt was lacking the depth of Matthew Modine, which seems a bit one-dimensional - in spite of the tremendous role in the plot of which it is responsible. |
| The most distasteful aspect of this Divorce, Le Drama film was to be the character of Kate Hudson Isabel. His sister Roxanne had just been abandoned by her cheating husband. Isabel could see the anguish of his adultery has caused to his sister, who is so anxious to try suicide. Isabel seems to worry about her sister, but what do I do? She has an affair with his married brother's uncle. She flaunts the expensive book that gives all of Paris. This girl's main goal in life is his bat and whipping insipidly smile at men. Any man - even cheating SOB who left his pregnant sister! Even the madness of man stalking and threatening her sister! She is a worrying superficial, egocentric hypocrite. Other than that the film: Divorce, Le is just pointless and boring. I felt nothing, except for characters Roxanne pity and revulsion around the world. |

Easily one of this year's best films. A great pleasure to see and hear. Final is set inside the Eiffel Tower. Woody Allen cast. Modine is only evil in their role. Once I met Hundson - she asked me to The Black Crowes in a night club in Dublin where you click. The latest Merchant / Ivory DVD film Divorce, Le that I liked was in Paris ( "Jefferson"). € 900 for a meal! Great scenes, casting, writing, photography and acting. "The Divorce" is a pleasant surprise. |
