In 1412, a young girl called Jeanne is born in Domremy, France. The times are hard: The Hunderd Years war with England has been going on since 1337, English knights and soldiers roam the country. Jeanne develops into a very religious young woman, she confesses several times a day. At the age of 13, she has her first vision and finds a sword. When coming home with it, she finds the English leveling her home town. Years after that, in 1428, she knows her mission is to be ridding France of the English and so sets out to meet Charles, the Dauphin. In his desperate military situation, he welcomes all help and gives the maiden a chance to prove her divine mission. After the successful liberation of Orleans and Reims, the Dauphin can be crowned traditionally in the cathedral of Reims - and does not need her anymore, since his wishes are satisfied. Jeanne d'Arc gets set up in his trap and is imprisoned by the Burgundians. In a trial against her under English law, she can't be forced to tell about her divine visions she has had continuously since childhood. Being condemned of witchcraft and being considered as relapsed heretic, she is sentenced to death. Jeanne d'Arc is burnt alive in the marketplace of Rouen on May 30th, 1431, at only 19 years of age.

Style by Besson. Joan representing more than a historical figure dimensions of this Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The Biography movie tried to show the person behind the heroine, sometimes looking deranged, fanatical and even crazy. While some of the events of the Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The Biography film were made to seem more of this propaganda DVD film Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The Hollywood NO success in peeling away the mystique and mythology to show the human face behind this legendary icon. Although these events occurred at the beginning of the Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The Biography are simply not in fact from the moment he was captured and cross references that occurred during the trial are closely based on the process of Joan. Their beliefs and faith were interrogated under torture, but she had remained until the end. The subtle image of God was remarkable. Joan was manipulated, and finally burned at the stake, which is God allows these things happened to her after they fulfill their mission. One might think that God must have his reward for beating the English, but left to die at the hands of them. However, it still takes Joan's God's message with her even after centuries have passed. Besson makes the history of Pucelles in an epic story behind her Besson needs. Milla Jovovich obviously did little research and discovered that it was Jeanne's hair was black as ink. Milla Joan serves as a complete lunatic, as its rate of Emily Rose one thing, it came up at the wrong audition. You can imagine my face as i walk into HMV and see my friend to walk against the purchase of this movie. I almost flew to her screams NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO while everything was in slow motion and the music began. Thats OK for an overstatement, but it was not very far. Milla almost sent me to sleep, whether shouting the words to fast for me to take it slow or whispers i get bored before you even finish the sentence. Honestly, do not waste your money on this, if you want a Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The film for Joan of Arc TV movie: Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The of the same year, starring Leelee Sobieski, its history and a great good for most ages:)

An entertaining Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The Biography film fund. Luc Besson has his own view of what was thought to have been made. Joan of Arc always seems to have been taken from a hitherto unexplored. That this overwhelms comedy and melodrama as unlikely but sparky bed. Milla Jojovich is perfect for this mania - polystyrene ranges naïvety brain shiver with fervor. Around this fascinating (if tomboyish) Besson performance builds a clique of French military. The nuances of handling can be easily overlooked, there is a rhythm to the way these men brutal mockery, onside and then depart again. Tchéky Karyo particularly well. I might even have had to admit liking French soldiers were it not for a bunch of high weighting of mouth English gentlemen. John Malkovich is, of course, a big draw on the poster, but it is unfounded - Faye Dunaway blows outside. Copy of entertainment, if not indeed faultless. 7 / 10
