| Kevin Costner (Dances With Wolves, The Untouchables) is a great actor, in my opinion, but most critics and some people do not like because he has too many "hero" roles. For those people, Tin Cup is a Tin Cup Comedy movie you like, for those who like Costner, you will love this movie. Cosnter golfer plays a star in Texas who runs a driving range that is not doing well. He is a good player, but because some of the poor never turned professional. He has a lazy Goofing around life with friends and caddy, wonderfully played by Cheech Marin (Paulie, from dusk until dawn). One day, when a beautiful psychiatrist, played by Rene Russo (Ransom, Major League), has been taking classes from him, decides to go after her. The problem is that she is not lazy and grungy and dating as a professional golfer who went to college with Costner. He is well played by Don Johnson (Dead Bang, guilty as sin). Costner and Johnson hate and then enter competitions to impress Russo. Finally, Costner decides that it will impress her try to benefit from U.S. The Open Golf Tournament. This is a very funny DVD film Tin Cup and not a "chick movie" I was worried it would be like. Costner is excellent in reproducing a completely nice bum. Russo is strong as his love interest. Highly recommended. |
| This Tin Cup Comedy movie is fun. This Tin Cup movie is funny. Have the best of casts. The golf course, even if you do not understand golf (and I do not) is great. The music is perfect for him. The end is not what you expected. This Tin Cup film is a 10 all the way over. The best part about it? Kevin Costner completely. Along with Cheech Marin, who make a great comedy team. I wish I had the new computer. Rent and have a good time. |
| There are three reasons to see this movie: Rene Russo, Cheech Marin and Don Johnson. The rest of it is a waste of time. Kevin Costner's character, the protagonist, is a hitch from start to finish. He never changes, never learns anything, it is a total loser. I do not know whether to blame the screenwriter, director, or Costner, but it really does not matter. The main character is totally indifferent. Marin has some great lines, and delivered perfectly. Russo is sexy and plays her part perfectly. Johnson performance is excellent, except for a scene in which the director or writer or vouchers that someone decided he needed to play completely out of character to enable him the villain. Even seemed that he was ashamed of having to do that scene because it is totally incompatible with the rest of your paper. I will watch the DivX film Tin Cup again, but just to enjoy watching Russo, Marin, and Johnson. |
| Talented but unlucky golfer Roy McAvoy (Kevin Costner) pursues glamorous therapist, Dr. Molly Griswold (Rene Russo). Although this is a Costner movie, is actually a decent, surprisingly well-observed romantic comedy The American dream is very good down to earth in this gentle comedy drama. Costner plays Roy McAvoy, a golf-Whizzer living in a small town in Texas, who falls in love with Molly (Russo), the girlfriend of his arch rival, David Simms (Don Johnson). Fortunately for him, according to sleep with him after he chips a ball from the clubhouse carpet and hit a pelican sitting outside. Molly Roy gives a good chat and introspection is not long before they are back playing professionally - and before you know it, swinging his clubs in the U.S. Open. Tin Cup is the big surprise of the Tin Cup Comedy unconventional ending, which allows us to forgive director Ron Shelton is awkward, difficult and dramatic structure strange fascination with the capture of prominent Costner mullet. The dialogue and characters are convincing and cleverly developed. Russo brings vulnerability and need a second skin, while Costner plays the tragic hero with great charm. |
