After leaving the Army after W.W.II, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis team up to become a top song-and-dance act. Davis plays matchmaker and introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters (Betty and Judy) who also have a song-and-dance act. When Betty and Judy travel to a Vermont lodge to perform a Christmas show, Wallace and Davis follow, only to find their former commander, General Waverly, is the lodge owner. A series of romantic mix-ups ensue as the performers try to help the General.

If there ever was a "guilty pleasure" is the Bing Crosby White Christmas. SAPPY story line to half the songs in the oven, this is really the big car mediocrity. But it works! There are only a prevailing aura of kindness that in White Christmas, except for the dance sequence where beatnik always fast-forward, I can not help but love the simple, guilt-ridden sweet pleasure of this invention. WC is a professional joy, wrapped with a big fat holiday ribbon, which still makes me smile about 37 years after I first saw it. My fifth grader loves it too. Not a bad recommendation for a panne DVD film White Christmas by critics, both professional and amateur, of which I am one.
