| Get Shorty was a great movie. It's fun and had the perfect balance of comic acting and a very serious plot. Be Cool is like some cheap knock-off trying to get a sequel. John Travolta as Chili Palmer, seems to have forgotten that he was never in the Mafia. He plays like he is a boring DVD movie Be Cool exec, instead of a boring Be Cool Crime movie exec who used to be a Shylock. Uma Thurman, a major role in almost everyone who has played out as tense and confusing. It is assumed that she ditzy or smart? The chemistry between her and Travolta is tense and uncomfortable. Beyond that, simply add every DVD film Be Cool cliché you can think of. A well-educated producers rap by Cedric the Entertainer, Andre an inept aspiring gangster in 3000, the girl with heart, soul, and a good set of tubes in Christina Milian, a friend gimmicky black candidates in Vince Vaughn, and a stupid celebrity cameo by Stephen Tyler. The only fun part was the rock that makes up their own new cliché as aspiring actor gay Samoan bodyguard. Probably the biggest offense is the argument makes no sense. Chile Get Shorty was playing with a smart group against another, leaving at the top. But this Be Cool film is that, with nearly one million different characters. Chile did not even seem to know what is happening. Get Shorty fans be warned: this is very different, much worse movie. |
| And the only reason I'm giving this Be Cool Crime a 5 instead of 0 due to the chance to see Travolta and Thurman dance! Otherwise it is a disaster of a movie. Travolta is a reprise of his role as Chili Palmer in "Get Shorty." There should be a standard in Hollywood, "Never work W / Kids" and "Never do a reprise. The dialogue is absolutely stilting. I can only comment on the lst half of the film, because after the dance scene I left. Travolta could have phoned in their performance. The kids will love to see semi naked Thurman. Vince Vaughn is the best role is smooth and fun. The Hard Rock as a gay-guy is ridiculous. |
| Slightly while the Be Cool film was totally flawed entertaining. About half an hour in Be Cool, I started having flashbacks of Hollywood Homicide. But guess what? This is worse. Even the dance number is bad. I like most of the cast in this film, so it makes me feel bad for writing a review of the denial, but I feel compelled. The Rock, Andre 3000, and Vince Vaughn in a comedy. Nobody seemed to decide what kind of movie: Be Cool acting in I feel bad for Travolta, because it brought Get Shorty Chili Palmer in this movie. Was entirely consistent on paper, but this Be Cool Crime movie is so different from the original character that stands out like a sore thumb. I would give this Be Cool movie 4 / 10 because I like the actors, but there is a conversation in the Be Cool Crime film about a particular topic is so asinine that I could not believe the reality says that the performers. If you want to go to the movies this weekend should be some Oscar contenders out there. That would be a much better way to spend your time. |
